Currently, PLAN serves 63 individuals and families in the southwest Ohio area. As the words gets out that there is an organization aimed at providing services, care, enrichment, and peace of mind long range, the demand for PLAN services grows. Of those PLAN currently serves,

• 29 are women and 34 are men

• 42 people have mental illness, 15 have MR/DD, 3 have traumatic brain injury, and four have physical medical conditions (e.g., Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal cord injury, etc.).

• 54 live in Hamilton County, 7 in Butler County, and 3 in Warren County

• 20 people/families are now served with our PLAN sliding scale subsidy at free or reduced fee rates.

PLAN Fund Raising Director Project a Success

Thanks to a generous grant from The Greater Cincinnati Foundation, PLAN hired a consultant to direct fund raising efforts this year. Joel Kaplan, from the development firm 25th Hour, began working with PLAN and Circletail, Inc. (the non-profit organization with whom PLAN shares the grant) in August, 2004. Joel's involvement with PLAN ended in May this year with a fund raising total over $50,000 more than last year's total! We truly appreciate the extremely effective direction provided by him.
